One of famed architect Harry Gesner‘s iconic, wave-style homes is up for rent in Beverly Hills, CA, listed for $55,000 a month.

The furnished, five-bedroom residence is tucked away on a cul-de-sac and boasts a standout roofline.

“Gesner is well known for his wave homes, and this property is geared towards the view with its walls of glass,” says Brent Watson, who is co-listing the property with business partner Marco Salari, both of The Watson Salari Group. “It’s very organic in its vibe and very cool.”

The home’s open floor plan features glass walls that overlook the infinity pool.

The great room offers a seamless transition to the outdoor space.

The modern kitchen with stone floors serves up spectacular views.

The house is situated on a promontory on a little more than half an acre, overlooking the Los Angeles skyline and Pacific Ocean. With 6,474 square feet, the 1970 build spans two levels and is nicely secluded.

“It’s very private and well above the roof lines of the neighbors,” Watson says, noting that fashion designer Vera Wang lives next door.

The main house faces west, with a north-facing lower level that offers valley views of the canyons.

“There is a cinema, kitchen, and two-bedroom suite on the lower level, so it’s almost like a separate guest suite,” Watson explains. “It also has an infinity-edge pool out back that gives it a dramatic feeling when you walk into the home.”

The glass-walled primary bedroom is immersed in city views.

The lower level comprises a home cinema, kitchen, and a two-bedroom suite.

All-glass doors at the entryway lead inside to an open floor plan.

“The ceilings are low at the entrance and go up and out to the view,” Watson notes. “It has incredibly large hearth fireplaces in both the living room and master bedroom.”

An enormous primary suite on the main level offers dual baths and closets. There are two more bedrooms on this floor, along with a possible third bedroom, home office, or yoga studio.

Owned by makeup artist Mezghan Hussainy since 2006, the luxury estate has been offered on the rental market before. Watson believes the next renter will be an enthusiast of unique architecture.

“It is appealing to Europeans who want that quintessential L.A. living experience,” he says. “They will be looking for something modern and iconic with incredible views. To be in this house is just sensational. It’s an emotional and very dramatic type architecture with great scale, space, and views.”
