From Oprah Winfrey to Julia Roberts and Robert Herjavec, there’s no shortage of wealthy and well-known folks who have owned condos on Florida’s ultra-exclusive Fisher Island.
A new listing on a high floor of the ten-story Palazzo Del Sol, the island enclave’s first full-service residential building, has become available for a whopping $35 million, Robb Report exclusively learned. The apartment spans an ample 7,630 square feet with five bedrooms and six bathrooms. Full-height windows and extra-deep terraces on three sides offer open views of Miami Beach, Biscayne Bay, and the pristine fairways of the island’s private golf course. Among the paparazzi-proof building’s high-profile residents are tennis champ Caroline Wozniacki and her husband, former NBA player David Lee, who recently put their penthouse up for sale.
Perched above Biscayne Bay, the lavish home features a spacious living room, a formal dining room, a family room, and an office. Elsewhere, the kitchen is decked out with top-of-the-line appliances from Gaggenau and Miele. There’s also a home theater and a primary suite kitted out with a private study.
As to be expected, the Kobi Karp-designed complex provides residents with a laundry list of top-level amenities, including a butler-staffed aperitivo bar, a fitness center, an on-site hair salon, and a nearby private beach. Residents can also apply for membership in the Fisher Island Club, which first opened in 1987. However, it’ll cost you about $250,000 if you want to join the prestigious members-only club, according to Forbes.
The 216-acre man-made island, which is only accessible by boat and is a seven-minute ferry ride from Magic City, is known for being the priciest ZIP code in Florida—and one of the most expensive places to live in the United States. As of September 2023, the median home sale price within the ritzy resort community was an eye-popping $5.7 million. Over 700 families call the tropical retreat home, either full-time or part-time. Guest accommodations on the island include the refurbished Vanderbilt mansion, which previously served as the winter estate of William K. Vanderbilt II.
“Although Fisher Island is a short ferry or yacht ride away from the attractions and excitement of Miami and Miami Beach, being in this rarified, exclusive, and highly secure private world feels like a world apart from it all,” notes the listing, which is held together by colleagues Oren Alexander and Isaac Lustgarten of Official.
