Where and How to Summer Out East

Where and How to Summer Out East

Summer in the Hamptons.

The mere mention of it calls to memory innumerable landscapes: misty morning walks along the point, lazy afternoon barbecues, listening to the tall grass sway, swimming in the warmth of the Atlantic Ocean, lavish meals in East Hampton, or just an afternoon shopping along Main Street.

For anyone who has spent a summer in the Hamptons, there is something undeniable about the East End during those months. Ten years ago I moved out East and found myself enamored with it from the start.

I owned my first home in East Hampton’s Northwest area and I lived steps from the bay in Sag Harbor. I both know and love this area. It’s a special privilege of mine to be able to share that with friends, family, and my clients. So, with great excitement, I want to share some of my favorite spots with you for a perfect summer holiday or quick weekend trip.

I think you’ll see there’s a bit of something for everyone.

Within the guide is lots of insider knowledge and many of my personal go-tos for everything from grocers to spas. Whether you’re renting a home with friends for the season and need to just grab the essentials, or you’re closing on a new home purchase and need some insights from top local interior designers, I’m confident you’ll find a starting point for all things East End.

Many summer residents and returnees will note that the East End has seen what can only be described as a windfall of high-end fashion retailers. Along Main Street in East Hampton you may feel as though you’re still on Madison Avenue.

The Art World is not far behind, as we’ve seen some of the biggest names in contemporary art open galleries along Main Street from Southampton to East Hampton. Galleries like Pace, Hauser & Wirth, and Michael Werner are all putting down roots signaling a cultural shift to a more languid summer Arts scene.

So, please, enjoy the guide and feel free to reach out to me directly for any of your East End needs.

Have a great summer!
