As February unfolds, Miami proves once again that it is the place to be during the winter season as it stands poised to host the renowned Discover Boating Miami International Boat Show, a spectacular display of nautical splendor for sailing enthusiasts and one of my most-awaited events of the year.

From February 14 to February 18, visitors can enjoy the world’s largest boat and yacht show. The event will span six different locations around the city but the on-land portion will take place at the Miami Beach Convention Center, the meeting place for anyone looking for boats up to 49 ft.

However, the big dreamers can head over to the modern and upscale Yacht Haven Grande Miami for SuperYacht Miami, where you’ll find the largest and most luxurious vessels at the show.

A Coveted Haven for Waterfront Properties

With almost a decade of experience in luxury real estate and intimate knowledge of Miami’s diverse neighborhoods, I’ve learned that buyers seeking the perfect luxury waterfront properties flock to Miami for several compelling reasons:

  • Miami’s warm temperatures throughout the year allow residents to enjoy a tropical lifestyle, making waterfront living a year-round pleasure.
  • The city boasts an array of exclusive neighborhoods offering prime waterfront real estate, such as Golden Beach, the Sunset Islands, and Bal Harbour Village.
  • Miami is synonymous with a lavish boating and yachting culture. For those seeking a waterfront home, having a private dock or proximity to marinas is a common feature.

Luxury Residences on the Waterfront

Miami’s waterfront homes are among the best in the world for buyers interested in the quiet resort-like lifestyle they provide while still being within close distance of the city’s year-round vibrant atmosphere.

Enjoying stunning views with easy access to marinas—or even their own private dock—is a dream come true for yachting and water sports enthusiasts.

Below are a few of my favorite properties with all the exclusive features Miami waterfront properties provide.

Located in the exclusive guard-gated neighborhood of Bal Harbour Village, 230 Bal Bay Dr. is a timeless Mediterranean home with 100 ft of water frontage, perfect for docking your larger vessel. With luxury amenities like a home theater, gym, office, pool, spa, summer kitchen, expansive patio, and a private dock, this is one of only ten wide-bay West-facing homes.

A home that speaks to architectural and design lovers, 1500 W 23Rd St was meticulously crafted by renowned architect Chad Oppenheim. Like a perfect blend of luxury and tranquility, this masterpiece rests in a lush garden of native vegetation conceived by Raymond Jungles. Multiple docks accommodate water toys.

2957 Flamingo Dr is one of the best waterfront deals in Miami Beach. Set on the quiet and desirable Flamingo Drive, this recently renovated home offers the ultimate blend of timeless elegance & comfort. Enjoy resort-like living in this exquisite property with 109 ft. of waterfrontage on a quiet canal and a private dock for smaller boats under 40ft.

Sail into Exceptional Dining Experiences

One of the major draws to Miami is its extensive network of waterways and marinas that cater to the desires of boat enthusiasts.

Let me introduce you to the discreet allure of restaurants where your yacht is not merely a mode of transport but an integral part of the experience.

Seaspice

This internationally renowned venue exemplifies the essence of waterfront dining. On the banks of the Miami River and overlooking the breathtaking Miami skyline, it transforms on Sunday nights into the hottest club in Miami.

Boater’s Grill

Family-owned and operated, this grill has been serving traditional original Cuban food for more than two decades and is a favorite among Key Biscayne locals and boaters.

Zuma Miami

Located in the heart of Downtown overlooking the Miami River, Zuma Miami invites you to experience chef Rainer Becker’s internationally praised modern Japanese izakaya dining.

Shuckers Waterfront Grill

Shuckers Waterfront Grill is an unassuming sports bar, a local institution known for its famous grilled wings, fresh seafood, and delectable views, it has proudly received guests both by land and sea for over 30 years.
